Land Whispering: Connecting and Communicating with the Natural Intelligences Surrounding Us

The Foundation of Light is excited to bring Dr. Patrick MacManaway, dowser and international practitioner of intuitive and healing arts, back to Ithaca once again for a weekend workshop on Land Whispering. Throughout the ages, our lives and our living have been rooted in our ability to communicate and cooperate with the vibrational intelligences that govern the natural world – elemental and nature spirits, weather, wind and tide, plants and animals. These forces are always available and willing to engage, communicate and cooperate with us. In this workshop we will cover an overview of the principles, practices and effects of deep connection with natural earth energies, elementals and nature spirit intelligences, and share exercises to help us practice connection and communication with them in a spirit of love, respect and creative co-operation.
The weekend will be a rich tapestry of slides and stories from homes, businesses, farm, forest and field, interspersed with practical exercises to develop multiple ways of engaging with the landscape and angelic intelligences surrounding us, including dragons, gnomes and devas. We will develop concepts and practices of connection and communication from telepathy to dowsing, allowing us to build a range of skills and awareness in communication with the natural intelligences of nature. We will learn about dowsing for earth energies, setting psychic boundaries, tuning of defined spaces, blessings of water and establishing devic and angelic guardianship of place. The Foundation of Light’s stone circle will be utilized for some of these activities.
Presenter: Dr. Patrick MacManaway is a third generation practitioner of psychic and healing arts, Past President of the British Society of Dowsers and he holds a degree in Medicine from the University of Edinburgh in his native Scotland. His family has had a personal connection with The Foundation of Light since 1970 when our founders, John and Kate Payne and Mabel Beggs, attended a conference of the British Society of Dowsers and subsequently visited the MacManaway’s Healing and Teaching Centre in rural Scotland. patrickmacmanaway.com

Friday Evening Presentation: Patrick’s initial presentation on Friday evening is open to all, and introduces many of the fundamentals principles that we’ll be working with all weekend. Using stories and images from his extensive experience working with the land, elements and nature spirits, Patrick will guide us through an exploration of our relationship as humans with these living energies of the earth, their nature and their influence in our life.
