Homebrewed Comedy at The Social Restaurant and Tap Room

The laughs are coming to The Social Restaurant & Taproom when Homebrewed Comedy comes to Naples on Saturday, Dec. 17. Karen Rontowski is headlining the show, and she’ll be there with Cindy Arena, Jason Zongrone and host Mike Peters.

The show will start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door. The doors will open at 7:30 p.m.

About the comedians:

Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.

Jason Zongrone started doing stand-up in Utica, N.Y., in 2019. A member of Bus Stop Robot, the house improv team at the Uptown Theatre of Creative Arts, Zongrone animated a music video, “I’ll Be Home for Chanukah,” which was featured in WIBX 950s 2020 Christmas special.

Rochester comedian Cindy Arena has only been at it a couple of years, but she’s already made a name for herself. A regular at Comedy at the Carlson, Arena was named the Funniest Person in Rochester in 2018. A semifinalist in Buffalo’s Funniest in 2019, Arena has opened for Dana Goldberg and Marcella Arguello.

Karen Rontoswki’s stand-up showcases endearing, self-effacing and intelligent characters that catch you by surprise every time. She uniquely blends comedy with her experience as a Paranormal Investigator, Tarot and reiki master. Rontowski has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, Sirius Satellite Radio, Comics Unleashed, Comedy.com, Live at Gotham, Comedy Central and Mysteries of the Unexplained. You can see her Her Dry Bar Comedy special called Ridiculous Me on VidAngel.com, where it’s receiver more than 20 million views. Her second special, War and Instant Pudding, comes out in 2022.
