The Finger Lakes Trail Conference (FLTC) will host our second 2024 Trails Day event on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in Hammondsport, NY, at Champlin Beach Park off NY Rt. 54 at the south end of Keuka Lake. It will be a day to celebrate some of the people who make the 1000-mile hiking trail system possible: our trail maintainers and landowners. Everyone is invited – hikers and non-hikers! This event is free, but in order to properly recognize everyone, registration is required.
The day will begin with an award ceremony, after which you can head over to Fluffy’s 2nd Annual Truck and Equipment Show at the Hammondsport Carnival Grounds! There will be all sorts of trucks and large equipment, live demonstrations, activities for kids (including painting a front-end loader!), and food vendors.
At 1:00 pm, two hikes led by our volunteer hike leaders, Brian Markham and Janet Mcconologue: 2.5 miles and 2 miles. Both hikes are on FLT Map M12.
