“Celtic Callings and Atlantic Arias” The next show at the North Star Fine Art Gallery in iIthaca is scheduled to begin March 1. The paintings of Brian Keeler depiciting Maine, Massachusetts, Ireland and Scotland will be featured in these oils of coastal themes of the Atlantic shoreline and towns of both sides of the pond.
The paintng shown here is a depiction of northwest Ireland, “30 x 36″ oil on canvas titled ” Donegal Coast, October Rainbows.”
The opening is on First Friday- Gallery Night in Ithaca. We will feature acousitc gypsy jazz from “La Dolce Vita” Brian Keeler’s other band- featuring Doug Robinson on guitar and vocals, Brian Earle on Clarinet, Harry Aceto on Standup bass and Brian Keeler on guitar. The music is from 6 to 8:30. $10 Donation requested.
Also- Irish balladeer, crooner, composer, fiddler, and penny whistle player- Pat Kane will be here performing tunes of the Emerald Isle on Saturday March 23 from 2 to 5. He will be accompanied by Kathy Snedeker on piano. $10 donation suggested. They will do two sets.
