Participants will construct a replica 9ft. Penn Yan “Aerodinghy” over seven two-day weekends. This boat, manufactured for many years by the Penn Yan Boat Company, is a 9ft. rowing dinghy. This series is structured to teach the skills of pattern layout and cutting, milling wood pieces, wood bending, planking, canvassing, and marine painting/varnishing.

This series is a unique opportunity for anyone who wants to learn how to build a boat from scratch or simply learn some woodworking techniques. There are no age restrictions to take the course. A maximum of eight people are invited to register for each workshop in the series.
