About the Artist: Mary Soisson Wieser began as a traditional quilter, learning the basics in 1990. She then had interest in hand dyed fabrics, hand painted fabrics and embellishments. After classes to learn those techniques she produced many art quilts.
Mary claims to be a “group-aholic.” When you find your people you hang with your tribe. She enjoys attending several quilting retreats through the year with her guilds.
Her art has been in group shows in Newark, Perinton, Fairport and Rochester, where she has received many ribbons including a Judge’s Choice Award. Mary has had solo shows in Canandaigua and Victor. Her work has been juried into the Quilts=Art=Quilts national yearly show at The Schweinfurth Memorial Art Gallery in Auburn, New York.
Most recently, Mary has been making Modern Quilts and spends her relaxing time doing handwork.
