My husband and I loved our stay at Geneva on the Lake hotel! We enjoyed the gorgeous and immaculately maintained grounds and pool. The beautifully furnished rooms are quiet and each came equipped with a full kitchen. We dined at the hotel’s restaurant for one dinner and two breakfasts. The food was farm to table fresh ! All of the staff were incredibly kind, patient, and courteous. I would definitely return for another stay!

We were there at the restaurant 2 weeks ago with a party of 6 for dinner. Very nice place, great view and garden, but the whole dinner was very disappointing and too expensive for what is being offered. It started out that the cocktail ( whiskey sour) came without any garnish. Followed by unpolished wineglasses full of water stains. I shared the crab cake appetizer with my husband. Looked and tasted like deep fried. Had nothing to do with a fluffy moist crab cake. We had a rack of lamb and the duck breast for main course. I expected more than 4 thin slices of duck for 49 dollar. The lamb was cold, the veggies lukewarm. After complaining about that the meat was lukewarm but at least the veggies were hot ;-). (52dollar) The waitress was very nice and polite but in a restaurant like this I expect a well trained and attentive staff. We had to get up and get the bottle from the wine cooler ourself to refill our wineglasses. This is definitely not called “fine dining”

What a great new look! Our visit to Geneva On The Lake for the Father’s Day Buffet was fantastic. The made-to-order shrimp Alfredo made for a great meal along with the smoky beef brisket and pulled pork sandwich. For dessert, the brownies were made in house, the vanilla ice cream, and the ‘help yourself’ vat of real hot fudge was the grand finale. The recently renovated beer parlor is amazing with a brand new bar and an entrance that leads to the main Dining Room. Off the main Dining Room is a more private dining area with a fireplace and an elevated view of the grounds and Seneca Lake. The staff was friendly and were proud to show off the brand new heated high top event tent, which also has a picturesque view of the lake. The solo acoustic guitarist played and sang a great mix of tunes that were relevant to different age groups at the buffet. The whole Father’s Day event met our expectations and we’ll be back next year. I’m excited to see what happens next! Jerry

We stayed at the hotel a couple of years ago for a birthday and had a wonderful dinner. We decided to come back this year but was very disappointed in the birthday dinner this time. The menu was very limited, and for the money that was spent was very expensive. I didn’t mind spending the money 2 years ago as the dinner was fantastic from appetizers to dessert, but this time the bill with tip came to 193:00 for basically 2 cod dinners, 2 salads and a $13 bottle of Estancia Chardonnay that was $42:00: Again would not of had a problem with this if the dinners were something to write about. Unfortunately we will not be back. Consistency should be number one in a restaurant if you want people to return. The ambiance is beautiful but is not worth going to dinner there. I do have to say our waiter was very attentive. We were also told there would be music outside with dinner but no one showed. Very Disappointed ☹️

Pretty place. Not your cookie cutter hotel. Lovely view of the lake. Comfy bed, clean, great linens and towels, friendly staff. Landscaping needs updating and tidied. A lot of old sparse bushes. A bit pricey for what they offer. Had a suite with a kitchen and id like to suggest they leave more creamers in the fridge and not just a couple little creamer pods by the Keurig machine. Price was the only reason its not a five star.
