Never felt so rushed at a wine tasting before, the server seemed like she was in a hurry to get us out of there. She kept coming by as we were drinking our flight and said "Oh, not done yet"? She was also not very knowledgeable about the wines when we asked questions. My wife and I had one flight each to sample which barely equates to one glass of wine. When we asked our server if we could purchase and split another to try she told us that it is against their policy as they don't want drunk people wandering around the winery, but you are more than welcome to purchase bottles and glasses and drink them outside, now that makes much more of sense!
The sweet wines are particularly well blended. The café also serves real food: a necessity when trying to sample the wines. If you are a garlic lover, the menu is perfect for you. If you are a wine lover everything else is perfect for you.
Enjoyed our tasting experience overall, and did end up purchasing a bottle to take - however, we felt a bit rushed (our host would stand with the next bottle of our flight even if the last was just poured, so I'd feel as though I needed to drink quickly) and felt a bit less personal than other wineries that we visited in the area. Still would recommend to others though, and we may come back in the spring when the cafe is open. :)
Very nice if you are a dry wine fan. A couple choices if sweet fan
Surprising find of good Cabernet Franc and really excellent tawny port. Great friendly service!
