We visited Flavors as it was the only Indian restaurant option in the area. We didn’t like the aura or the interiors. The food was overpriced and they add gratuity to groups of 4 or more, usually it’s 6 or more. I ordered a vegetable xacutti which is sold as a curry with roasted coconut base - NOPE! It was the normal onion tomato curry base as the chicken curry that my friends ordered. The chicken wasn’t cooked properly. The biryani was sub par! We didn’t order any desert as we didn’t want to spend anymore money.
Small food portions. Same sauce base for chicken and fish. The sauce was bland and looked like plain tomato puree (tomato puree from a store, I think.) Not even a single hint of authentic Indian spices. I think the food in this place is modified for the American palate. The naan was good, but was very small for its price. The rice was not Basmati, for sure, and had a funny smell. On the upper side in terms of price. The masala tea was good, and the place has a good ambience, hence the one stars. Given the 4.2 stars with 180 reviews, I am guessing this place has gone a managerial change.
Fantastic staff and quality food. I've never had an issue with any of the food or service here. Everyone is friendly and considerate.
We really appreciated the waitress's attention to detail. When we ordered naan without butter, she thought to ask if we wanted one of the main courses prepared in a low-fat away also. The food was excellent, and we'd have no hesitation in coming back.
Amazing food. My parents and I loved it so much. Staff is also very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to have authentic Indian food.
