My friends and I had a horrible experience at this winery. We called ahead to reserve a table and also to give them a heads up that a large group was coming on a winery tour. We had a private area set up for us and that was the extent of the nice service. Our server was extremely rude. She made snide remarks to our group, I caught her rolling her eyes at each of our questions. I also heard her rude comments about us on my way to the bathroom (which smelled like pure sulfur) She made us clear our own table and then refused to tell us where their trashcans were located. We still bought several bottles of wine because the view was great and were trying to make the best of it. However she didn't let us pay for the bottles when we asked and then accused us of stealing said bottles. We clearly were not wanted there and I believe it had to do with us being a bachelorette party. Which is a shame, no bride should be made to feel that way during her special weekend. Especially since we were not rowdy and we still tipped very well and bought food and wine. I will definitely not be returning. The dinosaurs on the way out were the only redeeming quality.
I’m sorry to say my friends and I had an awful experience at this winery – I wouldn’t recommend a visit here and won’t be returning, which is a shame because the setting is beautiful. We arrived for our pre-scheduled tasting and they had a big table set up for our group – we were a group of 15 so it was great to have a dedicated space. We were excited to be there, it was right at the beginning of our day, but unfortunately it went downhill quickly. Immediately our server seemed annoyed with our group and frustrated that she had to serve all of us. Most of us have been servers or still are, we know big groups can be tough, so we chalked it up to her having a rough morning. Unfortunately she seemed to double down on her bad attitude throughout our entire stay at this winery – from responding nastily to our questions, refusing to let us pay for items, asking us to bus our own tables but then telling us she didn’t know where trash cans were, the whole situation was very confusing and uncomfortable. She didn't want us to pay for our wine bottles when we ordered them, but then seemed to accuse us of stealing them later on when stopping by our table. We are all professionals in our 30s, some of our group was pregnant and just there to enjoy the view & our friends, we could not comprehend why we were being treated so poorly. My only guess is that they don’t actually want to serve groups and they just wanted us to leave – I hope they just change their policy so other big groups don’t waste their time and money there. The dinosaurs were cute though!
I went here with a group of 14 girls, it was the second winery we went to yesterday & we’re not intoxicated at this point. The only thing this place has going for them is the dinosaurs on the way in. We made reservations & when we walked in we went right to the table that was reserved for us. Immediately we were greeted by the most miserable & rude server I’ve ever come across in my life— who wouldn’t give us her name. She emphasized that we needed to “legibly” write our names on the paper for our flight of wine. We collected the sheets to hand to her & she gave us attitude because she “didn’t know where people were sitting”. One of the girls told her that we could easily point out who was sitting where.. she responded “no” & walked away. As she brought our wine flights in she yelled out our names & became annoyed if we didn’t raise our hand immediately. We made our way outside & were told by the same miserable server that we needed to go back inside to “clean up after ourselves” because another group was coming to use that table.. 60 mins later as we were leaving no one was at the table. Every time one of us went inside to buys bottle of wine & asked if we could pay towards our bill (catching them talking bad about us each time) we were told they wound just “add it to our bill”— that turned into the same server coming out to count the amount of bottles we had at our table. When we asked if there was an issue she told us she “was counting inventory” aka making sure we didn’t steal anything. As we left we, yet again, cleaned off our table & were told “oh you can clean up after yourselves, good job” What bothers me the most is that most of the girls I’m with have been servers or still are.. & we tipped in advanced— & well! Get another job if this is how you’re going to treat people.
Experience was better than expected! The variety, array, size, and quality of the lanterns on display really surprised us. The kids had a great time, and the adults too. We also had a little treat at the tasting room when we were finished driving around our second time. I recommend!
This is a beautiful winery. Right now they have dinosaurs on display. Buy your tickets on line and drive thru. Get out and take pictures with your favorite dinosaur. It is beautiful at night. Wine tasting is excellent and parfaits are delicious.
