This place is on top of a small hill and has the gorgeous view!! We came to the area at the end of summer and visited a few wineries and this one definitely has the best view. Their cheese platter looked very cute too. I didn’t drink but everyone in my group loved the Elation carbonated white wine here.
We had a lovely time at Bright Leaf Vineyard. Great wines (some of the best reds in the Finger Lakes!), amazing views, and even some goats to watch in the distance. Casey waited on us and she was amazing. Incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. Overall a wonderful experience, we would love to come back!
We were recommended Bright Leaf at a vineyard down the road while we waited for our reservation at said vineyard. I'm glad we were given the tip because Bright Leaf was better than the one we had reservations at. The wine at Bright Leaf was not fruity or super sweet like some wineries tend to lean toward. Bright Leaf was also a first for us in terms of pairings as their flights had an accompanying chocolate pairing that was fantastic. We enjoyed four red wines on our flight and bought bottles of the last two we tried. The view was also one of the better ones in the area as it isn't directly on the lake but has a raised view of it. The tastings were very reasonably priced as were the bottles. We're glad we went on a whim! Will go back! Update April 2022: Still just as good, if not better. It's the best all-around winery and vineyard on the lakes. The tasting with specifically paired chocolates is unique but the artisan pizza and cheese board makes it an absolute must visit place on your wine tour. It has everything you need at a winery, excellent wine, excellent chocolate pairings, fantastic food, and a great view. Bright Leaf cannot be understated.
We have had such a great time visiting Bright Leaf. They have fantastic food, great wine, and a beautiful location. The wine and chocolate tasting is such a fun experience. The cheese board is also a must have along with the flat bread pizzas. They have fantastic white and red wines.
Awful Awful Awful!!! been there a couple of times, enjoyed the wine and the place until the following happened. My sister and her husband visited from France. We stopped there and ordered some wine, up to then fine. My girlfriend who was working that day (Sunday) came and joined us to have a glass of wine. It was 4.45 pm. I went to order a glass for her and was told that it was against the rule. Which rule??? The place closes at 5 pm. The husband, behind the counter, was accommodating and ready to take my order but Frau Blucher (the one who scares the little kids and the horses) would not bend, the psycho-rigid queen of the place. If you don't want to do business, do not own one. Avoid this unfriendly place at all costs.
