“Nestled in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of New York State, Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park is one of America’s few remaining Victorian estates. Sonnenberg features a 40-room mansion and nine beautiful historic gardens of the world created by Mary Clark Thompson 100 years ago as a living tribute to her late husband Frederick Ferris Thompson. The 50-acre estate has extraordinary collections of period architecture, statuary, floral displays, fountains, and an antique greenhouse complex. Experience the beauty and romance of another age. Sonnenberg is open to the public May 1 – October 31.”
