This is a nice place to eat with a great view, good service, and nice food. My family and I stopped here on our way back to Hammondsport as we were looking for a decent meal with a laid back atmosphere and that's what we got. I wouldn't say the food will blow you away but you'll leave satisfied and feeling happy. If I could do a 3.5 I would as it's better than your typical 3 but doesn't feel like quite a 4. Definitely worth a try.
Beautiful outdoor deck/seating with lake views! Service - we seemed to have been seated at a time they were not able to accommodate a server for us. Ended up with a drink a couple apps instead of a full meal and moved on after a bit of going back and forth on who be our server and when. Maybe next time we'll give it another try.
Awesome food, menu and service. Great place that has changed over the years many times. This visit was the best experience, food and service in 30 years I've had there. None were bad this was just the best.
I know this post is a year old but it’s still as applicable today as it was then. Great place, or use to be.. Ordered a medium rare steak, was delivered well done and asked the waitress to bring me a medium rare steak. She didn't even make it back to the front door and brought it back to me. She apologized and said her boss made her bring it back. I WAS ABSOLUTELY SPEECHLESS! Never have I ever had that happen at a restaurant.
I'll start by saying that this is, in my opinion, the most beautiful restaurant on the lake and that's the two stars. A group of eight of us arrived by boat at 5:00 p.m. Monday the 4th. The downstairs area was not serving food so the bartender (fantastic btw) told us we could go up to order food and bring it down. The server upstairs had four tables in the inside dining area and was furious that we were going to order food to bring it to the downstairs because they were "so busy." (there were FOUR tables seated inside). She was rude and made it very clear in front of us that is was completely unacceptable. Sorry I just don't get that. A restaurant that only has a few months to make hay while the sun shines should be open to serving everyone who walks in there. Why would you turn away a few hundred dollars in business instead of finding a way to make it work? I run a restaurant group in NYC so I'm hesitant to leave bad reviews but I just couldn't wrap my head around this. After basically begging for them to serve us they did but the bad taste was already in my mouth.
