Plaid Day in Downtown Canandaigua
November 27, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Plaid Friday is Friday, November 27. As an alternative to Black Friday, Plaid Friday encourages people to do their holiday shopping with locally owned and independent businesses the day after Thanksgiving.
The name “Plaid Friday” celebrates the idea of LOCAL, which aims to promote the importance of supporting our community by shopping at small businesses. The plaid pattern represents weaving the individual threads of small businesses together to create a strong fabric that celebrates the diversity and creativity of independent businesses. Plaid Friday is the relaxing and enjoyable alternative to the big box store “Black Friday,” and is designed to promote both local and independently owned businesses, especially during the holiday season.
Plaid Friday is a FUN, enjoyable “mall-ternative” that has the added benefit of keeping your hard earned dollars in our local community.
REMEMBER… Small Business Saturday is the day after! Continue to shop small businesses on Saturday, November 28.
