Painting Mujeres: First Friday Gallery Night

About the artist:
Loreto Molina is a self-taught Chilean artist living in Ithaca. The beauty of women has mainly been portrayed throughout history by male artists. Her work aims to capture the essence and naturalness of women, friendship, family, and love in everyday scenes from a female perspective, to raise awareness of how important it is for us to be free, safe and happy. Pastel colors dominate her paintings, which consist of a mixture of watercolor and acrylic.
