How to Make and Enjoy Ricotta

Learn how to make homemade ricotta using all local ingredients, then turn your cheese into a delicious vegetarian dinner party appetizer or pasta component. The filling flavor will use herbs, seasonal greens, roasted beets, honey, and more. The skills taught in this class can also be applied to future cheesemaking adventures.
Please note: Students will need to pick-up their supply kit from Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester, NY 14607 on Saturday, January 9th between 10:30am-3:30pm.
Supplies Needed in Addition to Kit:
– salt and pepper
– 3 Tbs. olive oil
– 1 Tbs. lemon juice
– optional: pasta
– cheese cloth
– aluminum foil
– twine or rubber bands
– sauce pan
– slotted spoon
– optional: thermometer (not necessary but easier in the learning process)
This class is appropriate for ages 14+.
