Shaw Vineyards is perhaps one of the greatest hidden gems in the Finger Lakes region. No frills father-son owned and operated facility with fantastic tasting wines and super friendly staff. I make it a point to go every year when I vacation in the area. I even bring back bottles back to my home area for some friends who own wine stores but have never heard or tasted their wine. All have been super impressed- even the one whose wife is the wine buyer for a major regional supermarket chain.

Absolutely amazing wines and experience. We tasted with Steve Shaw (son) and his knowledge was incredible. The reds are without a doubt the best in the Finger Lakes and beyond! A must if you like great dry reds aged to perfection

This is one of the few wineries we make sure to stop at every time we visit the lakes. It's a small, no frills or gimmicks, all around good wine place. They're extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their product and you can appreciate their crafting of the wine.

I have been to over a hundred Finger lakes wineries, and their wines rank as some of the best dry reds you can buy. Don't let the exterior discourage you, no big gift shop and big building, just great wine. They bottle age for years, on the rack currently is 2015, 2013, and if you want a magnum, 2010 vintage. No other winery I know lets the wine mature like that before selling like they do, a true dedication to the craft of fine wine making. I just did a back to back taste test to what has been my #1 in the finger lakes for the 10 years, and I have to say, I think Shaw just kicked them down to #2. Well done, I will be back!

We had a great experience at Shaw. All of their wine is excellent and they have an extensive selection of vintage dry reds. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions. I would recommend this winery to anyone visiting the Finger Lakes region.
