My husband and I ate here this past Saturday following the sightseeing cruise and attempting to get into 2 other nearby restaurants. Those restaurants had wait times of 45 minutes - 1 hour. We went back here and were able to be seated immediately in the dining room near the window overlooking the water. This was intended to be our "splurge" meal for our vacation. My husband ordered the prime rib and it was tough, and one of his least favorite meals ever. He orders prime rib whenever he can, so he's had his share of this cut. The saving grace(s) were that the broiled seafood platter was very good and the hot seafood dip was delicious. Their homemade bread is also amazing! Recommend staying away from the beef here. For $30+ per plate, regretting your meal on vacation isn't worth the risk.
When we are in Watkins Glen we often eat at this restaurant. We have always had delicious meals and tonight was another one. I had the chicken Florentine (outstanding) and my husband had gluten free pasta with tomato sauce. Chelsea, our excellent server suggested he add some seafood: shrimp, mussels and clams. He loved it! The pasta was cooked exactly right which is not the case often with GF pasta. Because it's a popular place, we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. However, the food came out quickly and Chelsea was very attentive. We will be back!
Nice stop for lunch... Char grilled burger was excellent. Service was good and fairly prompt. Especially with a larger group. Seafood options were fair for being inland. Nice views of Seneca lake... Would recommend if you are in the area.
We had a wonderful experience. We were just there for our 40th wedding anniversary with our daughter and her husband. Food was excellent and our waitress gave us wonderful service. She had a great personality and made sure we had what we needed. Would highly recommend dining here. Thank you
With the prices they charge for the food why am I getting charged a 3% credit card fee. $32.99 for a piece of salmon slathered in jarred sauce with a side of old potatoes that had been sitting on a steam table for hours. Food seemed to be frozen and the short cuts taken were noticeable. Husband had rigatoni and vodka sauce. This was bland and under seasoned. Never got the bread promised with our meal. $93 pre-tip for the most bland, under seasoned, lackluster food. Also listened to wait staff complaining to customers about tips the received the night before and hoping that these customers would tip better. Don’t waste your time on this tour trap. As a local I can tell you there is better options to be had.
