Out of the four wineries that we visited in Finger Lakes, Boundary Breaks was easily the finest experience by far. Not only were the views of the vineyards overlooking Seneca Lake stunning, the wines were extremely enjoyable and paired very well with the sumptuous multi-course meal that was served (kudos to Chef Ryan!) Last but not least, Diana and Bruce (the owners) are actively involved in the day-to-day operations, and their love and enthusiasm for the place reverberates in every interaction we had. The entire experience was highly memorable and amazing value for money. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again!
Felt like we stumbled on a paradise! It's secluded off the main road tucked away close to the lake with stunning views. The service was phenomenal and the wine was great too. I recommend their Reisling #110 North-it was so smooth and great for summer. Will definitely be back again!
What a fabulous winery! We enjoyed all the wines from our tasting--and I'm pretty sure we covered 80% of the list between the two of us selecting different wines, and then being given several bonus pours so we could taste the differences in particular pairs. I found the wine map to be particularly helpful (and the only place that did that!) in understanding which wines I might enjoy. The staff was lovely and recommended several spots for us to eat and do other tastings--and they steered us very well! We lucked out coming here first. Can't beat the views either (even on a rainy day). This was our first winery stop so we only bought a couple bottles (not wanting to get ahead of ourselves!) but we ended up coming back another day to get more bottles (a mix of the sparkling Riesling, Chardonnay, and Rieslings).
We had this place recommended to us by the owner of the Idlwilde and finally made our way out here. After having been to many others in the area, this immediately made it to the top of our list as our new favorite. Everything about it wowed us. Amazing grounds, views, friendly and knowledgeable staff, good snacks, and obviously amazing wine. I wish we lived around here to come more often. It was such a relaxing place. They also have a dog park which is a huge perk I'd you are travelling with pets 🐶🐶
My wife and I had brunch Sunday July 31. We sat outside in the Pavillion on a beautiful day. Wow. Food was fantastic. The service was even better. Our server Catherine really knows how to explain the brunch experience. We started with a welcome bubbly rose, then moved to the Reisling 198 served with peppers, homemade salsa, a reisling cheese dip and chips. You have three choices for the main portion. BLT, burger or flatbread. We had the burger and the flatbread. Both were fabulous. Wine pairing was Cabernet Franc, and dry Reisling 239. Dessert was Baklava. Very tasty. We opted to get a half glass of Gewurztraminer as a pairing suggested by Catherine our server......spot on. All in all this has been the best brunch experience we have had.
